  • Menu

    The 'Hickory n Hops' menu is inspired by Chef Tigges, his Iowan roots and the richness of time spent together talking about sauces and chutneys and using Lefse as bread of choice for our barbecue. We serve an exemplary coffee, curated local crafts, select wines, craft cocktails, and house-smoked goodness with fresh ingredients and select organic food choices to create our defining barbecue meats, salads and vegetables. 

  • History

    It took us a long time (since change of ownership in middle of Jan 2019 to August 1, 2019) to transition iconic 'Lyndale Tap House' to "Hickory N Hops'.  We knew that this lovely place needed some love in brightening both its interior and exterior and a menu which appealed to a wide range of demographics.

    Our focus has been a traditional barbecue place of ribs, sausages, briskets and using smoked produce to create a wide variety of salads and compelling sides to appeal to vegetarians and vegans alike.  The famous lyndale brunch is being enhanced with items like Monte Cristo and house made sausages in our new menu.

    We are also bringing in live music and be the platform for our local artists.

    Thursday free salsa class at 7 pm followed by social dancing until 2 am

    Every other Friday in October starting Oct 4 at 5 pm, Danzón Matinee late afternoon siesta of lush Latin music. This bi-monthly event features the rich sounds of Danzón, full of strings and beautiful melodies, and the national dance of Cuba.  $6 cover with drink specials and excellent wine
